AYSO Region 42 in Newbury Park, CA is proud to invite your teams to the 26th Annual Panther Shootout. This tournament is an All-Star tournament and will be held over Thanksgiving weekend; Friday and Saturday, November 29–30, 2024. All games are held at Pepper Tree Playfields in Newbury Park; parking is free and no pets are allowed at the fields.
Our tournament format is unique and extremely fun for the participants. Every preliminary game ends in a shootout, but without the usual pressure. We will award medals for first thru fourth place teams in divisions with more than 8 teams. Special awards will also be given out to the winners of the PK “Shootouts”.
The Panther Shootout Tournament is open to all AYSO boys and girls All-Star teams in age divisions: 14U, 12U, and 10U. All players must be registered to play in this year's AYSO primary season. Guest players will be allowed (3 maximum per team).
This is a pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Saturday afternoon. All pool play games will be as follows: 25 minute halves for 14U and 12U, and 24 minute halves for 10U. After each pool play game, each team takes part in the “Shootout” competition.
